6-year-old Luke Flerlage has been dedicated to helping others experience joy during Easter celebrations through his work with Alleluia Baskets, a non-profit that provides Easter baskets to community members living at or below the poverty level. Luke began volunteering with the organization at the age of 3, alongside his parents. By his first year, he was able to assemble baskets independently and soon after, sought ways to gather thousands of supplies for the cause.

For Easter this year, Luke aimed to fill an entire box truck with supplies, ultimately collecting 12,221 items for Alleluia Baskets. His determination to help others has been praised by Karen Mesler, the founder of Alleluia Baskets, who describes Luke as having a caring heart and being committed to bringing joy during Easter. He already has plans for future events, including hosting a kid's trivia night in September to raise funds for Alleluia Baskets.
