A Boy and His Grandmother Visited All 63 U.S. National Parks 🏞

7 and a half years ago, Brad Ryan and his 93-year-old grandmother, Joy Ryan, set off on an ambitious journey to visit all 63 national parks in the United States. Their mission was driven by Joy's regret over having taken too few trips in her life. Their adventure, which has been diligently documented on their Instagram page, "Grandma Joy's Road Trip," reached a triumphant conclusion this week as they arrived at their final destination, the National Park of American Samoa. Reflecting on their epic journey, Brad stated, "It was a long road to get here, but we couldn't have chosen a more epic place to conclude this epic chapter of Grandma Joy's Road Trip!"

Their feat has not only defied age constraints, as Joy made history as the oldest living person to visit every U.S. National Park, but also financial and logistical limitations. The National Park Service celebrated their accomplishment by presenting them with certificates and other gifts, acknowledging their remarkable achievement. The National Park of American Samoa honored them in a post, saying, "For them, however, this was not simply a checklist journey, but one of reconciliation and healing... Their story is amazing and we are grateful to be part of it." Brad and Joy's journey started with a single trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a successful GoFundMe campaign to finance their other expeditions.

Post Malone Helps a Local Scottish Musician Buy His First Home 🏠

U.S. rapper Post Malone made a memorable impact on a local Scottish musician when he visited a pub in Glasgow, Scotland. The hip-hop artist, known for his hit "Sunflower," unexpectedly walked into Wunderbar while Gregor Hunter Coleman was playing. Coleman expressed his excitement and disbelief, sharing with STV News, “I think I was playing Taylor Swift and Post Malone comes in and there was a mirror, and I could see him singing and dancing along and I was like, ‘This is mad.’”

After the set, Post Malone requested to speak with Coleman and praised his performance, saying that he “smashed it”. In a surprising twist, the Grammy-nominated artist invited Coleman to play at his post-show party. During their conversation, Coleman mentioned he was saving for a house and refrained from drinking. Post Malone, moved by the musician's dedication, offered to contribute towards the deposit on Coleman's future home, allowing him more time to focus on his music. Coleman recounted this generous offer to STV News, noting how he'd always heard Post Malone was a "really nice guy." On Instagram, he described the encounter as a "life changing experience," and optimistically added, "This could be my time to hit the ground running.”
