Boeing Engineers Break the Paper Airplane World Record ๐ฉ

via Guinness World Records
Three engineers from Boeing, Garrett Jensen, Nathan Erickson, and Dillon Ruble, broke the Guinness World Record for the "farthest flight by a paper aircraft." They launched their paper plane 88.31 meters, beating the previous record of 77 meters. Ruble and Jensen have a passion for making origami planes and last year, they simulated different hypersonic aircraft designs with paper planes. After 20 attempts, they were finally able to create a smaller, paper airplane version of a hypersonic aircraft (which can travel at 5 times the speed of sound).

Jensen and Ruble are second and third-generation Boeing employees and studied Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Missouri S&T in Rolla. They hope that their record stands for a long time and shared some advice for future engineers, encouraging them to find a project they are passionate about, embrace hard work, and keep impacting technological advancements.

Couple Finds Love at Cracker Barrel ๐

via Rebekah Rivera on Facebook
Josh Rivera and Rebekah Facciuto's love story began with a chance encounter at Cracker Barrel in Casa Grande, Arizona. The couple met on September 1, 2020, when Facciuto sat near Rivera as he was enjoying his lunch. After talking for a while, they decided to continue their conversation over lunch, which marked their first date.
Rivera prayed for a chance to get to know Facciuto better, and his wish came true when they exchanged contact information and began dating. Almost a year later, on August 14, 2021, Rivera proposed to Facciuto at the same Cracker Barrel where they had met. The couple got married twice, first in a church in Tucson, Arizona, on September 5, 2021, and then in a hot air balloon with handwritten vows on November 5. They welcomed their son, River Rivera, on August 5, 2022, and celebrated his baby shower at Cracker Barrel.
Rivera said, "We don't believe in luck, but we do believe that meeting that one day in September was meant to be. We will always remember that special moment on Cracker Barrel's front porch in the rocking chairs."
